De rode deur rechts naast de ingang van restaurant 'In de Waag' is voorzien van een aansluitpaneel voor audio/video. Via dit paneel kun je live beeldmateriaal streamen op het internet. Om je camera in de Waag te pluggen heb je de standaard audio/videokabel die bij de camera is geleverd nodig. Deze is herkenbaar aan de 3 tulp-pluggen in de kleuren: geel (video), rood en wit (audio).
The red door at the right of the entrance to restaurant 'In de Waag', has a connection panel for audio/video. This connection enables you to stream live on the Internet. In order to plug your camera into the Waag, you need a standard audio/video cable that normally comes with the camera, which can be recognized by three plugs, coloured yellow (video), red and white (audio).
De stream op plugin.waag.org (rtsp://qt.waag.org/plugin.sdp) staat altijd aan. Op het moment dat iemand via de deur van de Waag een camera of laptop aansluit op de connectors en beelden afspeelt zullen deze automatisch worden uitgezonden via het internet. De live stream is te zien op http://plugin.waag.org. Voor het bekijken van de stream heb je wel minimaal een ADSL-light aansluiting nodig. Om de uitzending direct te zien, kun je op de Nieuwmarkt gebruik maken van het Wireless Netwerk van Waag Society. Kijk op wireless.waag.org voor informatie over het Wireless Access Point.
Voor het bekijken van de stream heb je een mpeg4-speler nodig, bijvoorbeeld QuickTime player. Deze is hier gratis te downloaden.
The stream at plugin.waag.org (rtsp://qt.waag.org/plugin.sdp) is always up and running. The moment somebody plugs in a camera or laptop in the door of the Waag and starts playing, a broadcast will start automatically, and the video is streamed on the Internet. This stream can be watched live at http://plugin.waag.org. To watch the stream you need a broadband connection. On the Nieuwmarkt you can use the Waag Society Wireless Network.
